I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

🚶‍♂️ Stay Aware in Public

Look up and look out — thieves often target people who are distracted by their phones. Always be aware of your surroundings when walking and especially near roads.

Avoid using your phone while walking, especially next to busy roads where criminals on bikes or mopeds can approach quickly from behind.

If you must use it, step away from the roadside, closer to a building or wall so someone can’t easily come up behind you.

Don’t leave your phone unattended on tables in cafes, bars, or stations — thieves can grab them in seconds.
